major adventures

We plan to undertake at least one of these 'major adventures' each year, continuing as long as we can. Of course, the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic stopped us for a while, and, unless there is an unexpected development, Brexit drastically limits the continuous time that we can spend in the EU Schengen Zone, which includes time in our Spanish home, so there will be fewer caravan adventures outside the UK in future.

Prior to Brexit these trips usually took us at least a couple of months and most have their dedicated blog as listed below.

Caravan trips are in our own unit, apart from Iceland where we were testing a new Swift Group caravan. For trips outside continental Europe [excepting Turkey and Morocco] we usually hire motorhomes or put together an itinerary with an agent such as Llama Travel. A large element of each Caravan/Motorhome adventure is usually as part of a group tour (many were with with the Camping and Caravanning Club) although we spend a significant amount of time before and after the group tour following our own agenda, part of which we inevitably work out as the trip progresses.
The details of the vehicles we are using are accessible in the blog header, as is the itinerary.

All the images in these blogs are our own [Geoff&Sue] unless otherwise credited. They don't try to be works of art - just a record of our adventures - and the more recent images are usually taken by smartphone.
