Saverne...Alsace Beautiful little town on the Canal de la Marne au Rhin.

It's possible to hire boats here and motor as far a Strasbourg.
Fascinating lock that re-uses the lock's water by displacing it into a massive tank as it lowers the boats to exit under the bridge at the end of the high street.
Interesting arrival...took a wrong turning entering the town..the 'van just making it around the corners but soon back on track..the campsite virtually in the town.
Walked into town after pitching and spent an enjoyable three hours, making it back before the rain started in earnest.
Will probably top up with French Gasoil before crossing into Switzerland tomorrow.
